SERVICES
Nelson Thomas offers a complete service from the initial consultation through to overseeing the installation. Although structured, our design process is guided by the clients brief and needs, allowing for flexibility and creativity.
Initial Consultation
Every project starts with an initial consultation. This consultation can be expected to last around an hour and provides us the opportunity to understand and discuss your expectations for the desired space while considering the sites environment. Following the consultation, we collate the information and provide you with a fee proposal for our design services. Consultations are not charged.
Mood Board & Concept Design
The mood board is provided as a return brief, ensuring we have captured the intended essence of the clients brief. Upon approval, we proceed with the Concept landscape design. This stage is about working through the spaces and levels, to achieve the outcome. The concept can be illustrated through scale plans and perspective if required.
Master Plans
Materials, finishes and scope of works are all resolved during the final set of drawings. Through an engaging process, we discuss the plant palette and details that finish the project. This package typically includes, Scope of works, lighting plan, planting plan landscape plan and schedule, materials plan, set out plan and details drawings.
Horticultural Consultation
Nelson Thomas have nurtured and reliable relationships with speciality plant nurseries all over Australia. We love the opportunity to source and supply quality plants for the project. It is preferred we are there for the plant placement to manage and oversee the installation of each plant.
Consultation through Construction
Upon completion of the design package, we are available to assist you through the installation process. We have a selection of recommended landscapers we work closely with but are also flexible to work with your preferred company. We discuss the scope of works with each landscaper and review the quotes to ensure they are comparable. During the installation we are available at all critical points as needed.
